I didn't expect the transparent cards to actually matter, but seeing the ruins layer through each other makes planning your upgrades way more satisfying. The chain reactions when two upgrades stack are genuinely clever without being overwhelming to teach.

The transparent cards are such a clever touch—you can see upgrades stacking right on top of each other, and it makes the whole ruin-revealing theme feel tactile. My group got competitive fast once we realized how wild the combos could get.

The stacking upgrade mechanic is what sold me, and after a few plays it really does create some wild turns where a simple card suddenly combos into something huge. Uncovering the ruins art on those transparent cards is a nice touch too, way prettier in person than in the photos.
