Fiction is een door Worlde geïnspireerd spel van misleiding. Eén speler is de Lie-brarian en kiest een geheim woord uit een klassiek literair werk. De andere spelers zullen als team met logica het geheime woord zo snel mogelijk proberen te raden. Ze hebben 10 gissingen en twee tijdsperiodes van 10 minuten om het geheime woord te raden, maar de aanwijzingen van de Lie-brarian bevatten altijd precies één leugen.
I picked a word from Jane Eyre and my friends spent ten minutes arguing over the letter placement before anyone caught on that I was lying. The team deduction part is genuinely tense, and the literature angle makes it feel smarter than your average word game.
The Lie-brarian role is way more fun than I expected — picking a secret word from a classic novel and watching everyone argue over guesses is the whole game. We burned through a full hour without noticing, and the deduction aspect keeps it from feeling like just another word game.
Played this with four friends who all thought they were word-game experts, and watching them argue over whether the secret word was from Austen or Dickens was the best part of the night. The team deduction mechanic keeps everyone talking instead of staring at their phones.
