At the heart of your city, exceptional men and women inspire your people and carry your civilization to its acme. Choose them carefully and they will contribute to your greatness. Neglect them and they will end up leading rival cities! In addition to two new Wonders, this expansion offers you a new type of card: Leader cards. Queens, astronomers, philosophers, and generals will bring an extra strategic dimension to your games.

The new edition features a new box with gold leaf; improved layout for better game immersion; two new Wonders designed for the expansion; a booklet that describes the expansion’s new effects, and integrates the Leaders Anniversary Pack and the Leader cards presented in the original Cities and Armada Expansions.

Sophia ★★★★★

The leader cards add a nice layer of strategy without slowing the game down much. I like that each leader gives you a different bonus, so it feels fresh every time we play. Slots right into the base game with no fuss.

Hannah ★★★★★

The leader cards add a whole new layer of strategy to the base game, especially when you time a discounted wonder stage right. We now draft them every session, and nobody wants to go back.

Charlotte T. ★★★★★

Picked this up after wearing out the base game, and the leader cards add a nice layer of strategy without slowing things down. Choosing Plato early paid off big in my last game, though I'm still figuring out how to time the recruit phase properly.
