Swapping in these larger boards completely changed how our group plans our turns, way more breathing room than the originals. The Yellow Dragon tug-of-war is the real star though, it keeps everyone tense right up to the last round instead of the usual runaway leader problem.
The Yellow Dragon tug-of-war mechanic really shakes up the endgame—my group had three nail-biting finishes in a row. The larger domain boards also feel more strategic without being overwhelming.
Swapped in the two double-sided domain boards and they fit my base game box fine, though they're noticeably thicker than the originals. The Yellow Dragon tug-of-war victory condition completely changed how our group plays — we actually had a tense finish instead of the usual runaway leader. Worth it
