The fuel mechanic genuinely changes how you plan every autumn, and suddenly heating your house matters as much as feeding your family. Horses are a great addition too, they open up plowing strategies I never had before. All 150 cards fit nicely in the base box with a little creative packing.
Winter used to be the part of the game I dreaded, but now I'm actually hoarding fuel and worrying about keeping everyone warm. The 150 new cards add so many options that my last game went an hour longer than usual and nobody minded.
The horses completely change how I plan my farm, and I keep finding new combos with the 150 cards every game. Heating rooms with fuel in winter sounded fussy but it's actually my favorite part now.
